Vindur is a beautiful silver black first prize stallion with a 10 for mane and tail. He has a very interactive personality which makes him very enjoyable to work with. He has big proud gaits with wide movement and nice lift. In the breeding evaluation in Vernon 2018, he received 8.37 for conformation and 8.01 for ridden abilities with a total of 8.16. He received 9 for head, 9 for trot, and 9 for walk. He also has quite an impressive pedigree. His sire Hrafn frá Garðabæ received 9 for tolt, trot, gallop and general impression with an overall of 8.24 as a four gaiter. His sire is the son of Orri frá Þúfu í Landeyjum who is one of the greatest breeding stallions of all time known for producing champions and easy to train riding horses for many generations. His dam Gola frá Höfðabrekku received 9 for pace, gallop and spirit with overall 8.25. She produced many lovely offspring who have become very successful competition horses.
Vindur himself is a very brave trail horse and talented sport competition horse. He enjoys beach rides, swimming in the river and navigating difficult mountainous trails. He is also an excellent breed ambassador at horse expos participating in multiple horse drill teams and gait demonstrations. He is incredibly responsive with easy to ride gaits and wonderful speed range. Several of his offspring have been started under saddle this year and will be evaluated at the next opportunity. His offspring have been easy to train with easy gaits and fun characters in a variety of colors.
