Taproot Prime is standing his 4th year at Taproot Stud for 2023. He is by ES Toronto out of an Arabian/ISH mare making him 1/8th ID

Prime was purpose bred to be used on 'traditional' heavier field hunter mares for eventing and show hunter foals but we are also using him with our Thoroughbred mares. He brings balance, uphill movement, active hind end, quality jump and immense presence to the breeding shed. Prime's pedigree is strong in versatile performance greats including; Now or Never M, Nimmerdor, Belisar, Salon and Pride of Shaunlara.... He has an exceptional temperament and is very friendly. He lives at pasture with a few girlfriends to have as normal a lifestyle as we can give him.

He's a smaller compact package with a medium frame that adds quality to a heavy mare but brings enough bone to not foal a hippo on toothpicks!

His first foal hit the ground late in the season 2020 out of a 1/2 Arab 1/2 Irish Draught mare which subsequently was the 2022 Reserve Champion 2 y/o Colt/gelding at East Coast FEH Championships. 2021, we foaled 3 of his offspring, one has already sold as an upper level event prospect. Prime improved the dam's hip, added length of forearm and improved the stifle; all things generally needing improved in a heavier mare. All of his mares were bred first cycle, excellent fertility!

Taproot Prime will be collecting at Mountain View Equine VA during the season. Side by side breeding available for local owners not wishing to ship semen. You can also pickup packaged semen from clinic.

We also will have his foals available for sale at weaning and 2023 in-utero foal contracts available.
