"Luey"had his first foal crop in 2024, we were beyond impressed, they were beautiful, easy to halter break, easy to be around, big thick builds and very athletic.
We really love his breeding, the greats speak for themselves and he is well packaged. He is expected to mature to 15.2 and has had 90 days professional training. The trainer loved working with him undersaddle and said he is very powerful with a lot of speed.... (read more) He was easy to work with and a gentleman to be around.
We were only able to take him to a couple shows were he placed first in one and 4th in another. He hadn't been ridden in over 6 months for the last show and he performed very well considering. We will try showing more in 2025 and expect him to really become a standout performer. HE behaved so well with all the other horses that no one knew he was a young stallion, something we are proud of.
Luey is a buttermilk buckskin dun or better known as a Dunskin, which means he carries a cream gene and dun gene. His "dun factor" is quite significant with barring on the legs, defined back stripe dripping off his neck and spots along his top line.
