"Nugget" was awarded Class 1 in the Irish Draught studbook for his outstanding characteristics and traditional Irish type. Inspectors noted his well balanced proportions, with short cannon bones and strong forearm, flat square knees, large hooves, short back, depth of girth and powerful hindquarters as strong examples of the breed standard, and especially enjoyed his endearing personality. He can jump, too! As far as we're aware, Nugget is currently the only Class 1 Irish Draught stallion carrying the cream gene in North America, and possibly the world.... (read more) He stands just shy of 16.0 hands at age 3 1/2, and should finish at 16.1-16.2.
Pedigree includes Irish Draught greats such as Mountain Pearl, Crosstown Dancer, Scrapman, and the female family of Gortfree Hero.
All progeny can be registered with the IDHSNA. For non-Irish Draught mares, regardless of breed or registration status, foals will receive IDSH classification, and are eligible for inspection into the Irish Draught breeding book.
Special consideration for purebred ID mares (250). Stud fee 500 for contracts signed before end of 2024. 600 starting Jan 1, 2025.
